The global release of the Redmi Note 12 4G, featuring Snapdragon 685 and 33W rapid charging, has taken place, and it will arrive in India on March 30.
The Redmi Note 12 4G has been launched worldwide, alongside the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. Notably, the Note 12 4G is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685, which is an enhanced version of the SD680. Additionally, the Redmi Note 12 4G is scheduled for release in India on March 30.

The Note 12 4G boasts a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole punch cutout situated at the center. According to Xiaomi, the panel can reach 1200nits brightness and has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The phone has a sleek, flat-edged design and weighs approximately 183.5g with a thickness of 7.85mm. Xiaomi is providing a choice of three color options, namely onyx gray, ice blue, and mint green. The Note 12 4G has an IP53 rating and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication.
Beneath the surface, the Redmi Note 12 4G packs a Snapdragon 685 processor coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS2.2 storage, which can be expanded by up to 1TB using a micro-SD card. The device runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 12 4G features a triple camera arrangement on the rear, including a 50MP primary (Samsung JN1, f/1.8) wide, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. A 13MP front-facing camera handles selfies.
The Redmi Note 12 4G comes in 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB configurations with an estimated global starting price of around $180 (approximately Rs 15,000). The phone is anticipated to launch in India on March 30. Stay tuned for further updates.
